Item Description

Enjoy a one night stay in either the Sugar House or Tea House Cottage.

“The Sugarhouse” is pure Vermont. Complete with a beautiful claw foot bathtub and vaulted ceiling, designed from a traditional Vermont sugarhouse. The smell of the local white cedar interior is as sweet as any grade of syrup. The Sugarhouse is also the “greenest” of their cottages, utilizing almost all local and recycled materials. A pine plank breakfast nook, spalted maple trim, and marble corner sink to name a few. The Sugarhouse reflects Vermont tradition with a touch of romance.

“The Tea House” is a tribute to Asian culture. Simplicity. Symmetry. Sake. A pergola and large deck will lead you into this “Chashitsu”. You will find a timber framed ceiling, bamboo floors and counter top, as well as shoji doors. This may be your only chance to stay in a Japanese pagoda in Northern Vermont. Enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think.

The cottages were designed with the savvy traveler in mind and are outfitted with a fridge/freezer, convection oven, microwave and full compliment of dishware and kitchen amenities. The cottages have natural queen size New Englander pillow top mattresses, flat screen satellite television and wireless internet. On-demand hot water and adjustable propane heat will keep you warm on those cold north country nights.

Shéady Acres is a twenty-five acre tract halfway between Jay peak and Montgomery Center, Vermont. There is an eighteen-hole disc golf course on the property. Cross-country skiing, hiking, swimming and world-class mountain and road biking are right outside your door.

Jay Peak Resort, only 5 miles up the road, offers a championship eighteen-hole golf course and the deepest powder skiing on the east coast. We can even offer you discounted ski passes – contact us for more information! You will not run out of things to do, no matter the duration of your stay.
