Item Description
This is a 19” x 23” print of three saltwater game fish: Striper, False Albacore, and Flounder. #9 of only 20 prints by Robert Giordano, a local Long Island painter and avid angler.
Trained at the School of Visual Arts in New York, Robert began his professional art career at the age of 19 illustrating products and packaging for companies such as Avob and Kimberly Clark. It was at this young age that he also began painting seascapes and sporting scenes as a means of escaping the restrictions of commercial art.
His work has been exhibited at various galleries and shows throughout the country. The artist spends much of his time out on the waters of Long Island Sound where he finds the inspiration for much of his work. He was commissioned for the first limited edition print of the New York Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association. He also designed the logo for the CCA’s prestigious Macallan Manhattan Cup Tournament.
