Item Description
All this poor guy wanted was a suit! David Sipress has once again married the ordinary to the "Buddhist" and come up with an instantly recognizable lesson on the reality of birth, old age, sickness and death...as it might be taught at Bergdorf Goodman! Brilliant.
This is another of the original drawings that have appeared in the Shambhala Sun over the years in which David puts it all in perspective for us. His humour is like a gift that pops out at you when you open the box. We feel honoured to have his work in our magazine and are pleased to able to offer it to you.
David's cartoons appear regularly in The New Yorker and many other magazines. He has authored eight books of cartoons and is the writer, producer, and host of "Conversations with Cartoonists," an ongoing series of performances featuring humor and interviews with great New Yorker cartoonists. David has been interested in Buddhism for many years, and considers it an excellent source of jokes.
