Item Description
The monastics at Zen Mountain Monastery have designed a meditation cushion whose foam molds to the shape of your body, allowing for even distribution of weight and correct spinal alignment. And its structural memory causes it to resume its original shape after each use! The result is a cushion that minimizes discomfort.
The Mountain Seat zafu combines a layer of viscoelastic foam with a sturdy, buckwheat hull base, covered in a durable cotton/poly shell. The foam layer conforms to your body contour, eliminating many physical complaints related to sitting.
The Mountain Seat zabuton uses a layer of visco-elastic foam sandwiched between two generous layers of cotton batting, providing excellent support for your knees, hips and ankles. Especially beneficial for those who sit in a kneeling posture. Dimensions: 30" long, 3" high, 34" wide.
Zen Mountain Monastery is a monastic training center providing traditional yet distinctly Western Zen training to people of all ages and religious backgrounds. With a resident community of female and male monastics and lay trainees, the Monastery offers a wide variety of programs and retreats for both beginning and advanced Buddhist practitioners. Set in a nature preserve in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York, the Monastery offers an atmosphere conducive to self-study and introspection.
