Item Description
The myth of the triumph of the sea-nymph Galatea has been the inspiration for artists through the ages. This 1875 engraving by C.H. Schuler is after the early 17th-Century baroque Bolognese painter Domenichino's interpretation of the tale. This mint-condition print of the "Triumph of Galatea" measures 9 ¾" x 8". Matted in museum board, overall dimensions are 20" x 16" in its gold wood frame. It's a donation of Stephan and Julia Brigidi of the Bristol Workshops in Photography, Bristol, RI.
