Item Description
Begin your evening at the Astor Center for Wine & Spirits and learn the Elements of Wine with Andrew Fisher - the resident wine expert and President of the Center. Complete your night by visiting Stanton Social where you will enjoy dinner for two prepared by Chopped judge Chef Chris Santos.
Directly above Astor Wines & Spirits, we have built three unique spaces which together comprise a facility unlike anything else in the city – or the world, for that matter. We wanted to create an environment conducive to the sort of progressive thinking that has suited us so well in the past – to build a place that would facilitate exchanges between winemakers and wine drinkers; between Michelin-starred chefs and masters of the Manhattan apartment kitchen; between omnivores and herbivores; between legendary cookbook authors and razor-sharp restaurant bloggers; between politicians and pig farmers. More than just a place to take a wine class or watch a celebrity chef wield a blow-torch, at Astor Center we’re building a concept – a new approach to education, a new way of exchanging ideas, a new forum for discussing that which brings us together around the table.
Stanton Social's chef-owner Chris Santos (as seen on Chopped) has teamed up with Tao owner Richard Wolf, Peter Kane originally of Double Happiness and Happy Ending, and the James Beard 'Best New Restaurant Design' award winning firm AvroKo, to create the newest 'jewel' of Manhattan's Lower East Side. The design of this three level hot spot tips it's hat to the neighborhood’s garment history and offers diners a culinary odyssey. All menu items are designed for sharing, offering guests a chance to experience multiple dishes and flavors throughout their meal. In addition to its 120 seats, The Stanton Social offers a raw bar, two lounges and the hippest new bar in New York City.
