The DVD Three Principal Aspects of the Path forms a companion to the first half of LYWA's publication The Essence of Tibetan Buddhism with the DVD Introduction to Tantra forming the second half. All three titles are offered here:
- Three Principal Aspects in particular relates to HHDL's 1982 teachings at Institut Vajra Yogini, France. Lama Yeshe was asked to "babysit" the audience for a couple of days when His Holiness manifested illness. The result is this excellent two-part introduction to the path to enlightenment.
- The Introduction to Tantra DVD contains Lama's 1980 commentary on the Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig) yoga method and an explanation of the fundamentals of tantric practice.
- The book Essence of Tibetan Buddhism is composed of the lightly-edited transcripts of the two above-mentioned DVDs.
Anxiety in the Nuclear Age, the third DVD in this set, contains a talk by Lama Thubten Yeshe about the perils of the First Nuclear Age, exacerbated at that time by the Cold War and Americans' worries over the Soviet nuclear threat. Although the nature of our current concerns is different, Lama's observations and insights are as relevant today as they were when he first made them.
The Lama Yeshe Wisdom Archive (LYWA) represents the collected works of Lama Thubten Yeshe and Kyabje Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche. It was founded in 1996 by Lama Zopa Rinpoche, its spiritual director, to make available by various means the teachings it contains.
