Item Special Note
Jim Golovach was born in 1970 in Upstate, NY. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Adirondack Mountains, his interest in art blossomed in his teens. With an early passion for the French expressionists, Jimmy began developing his craft, honing his pastel, figure drawing, and painting techniques. During this period, he began exhibiting his work and, in the process, immersed himself fully in his artwork.
Jim has more recently moved to exploring new techniques such as acrylic airbrush, sculpture, paper collage, chalk pastel, oil, and most recently acrylic on canvas. His new pieces draw from Cubist masters, as seen in the simplified lines and shapes. The use of vivid colors and textures enliven the subjects, giving them movement, sensuality, and life. Jimmy’s pieces celebrate the lightness of humanity. His current work features themes emerging from the intersection the natural environment, spirituality, and the sensuality of the feminine.
