Item Description
Ever had those late night munchies, wishing for a slice of Christina Tosi's Crack Pie after Momofuku Milk Bar has closed? Snag this package and Christina will teach you and 9 pals how to make the city's most coveted pie, giving you the tools needed to satisfy all crack-pie-craving emergencies.
Not only will you have the secret recipe to sugary bliss, but you'll take home your own freshly baked crack pie along with other Milk Bar goodies stuffed into a sweet little bag.
Crack Pie's creator Christina Tosi says she first made the sugary dessert when she worked at swanky restaurant WD-50, on a Sunday when the chef was away and she got to experiment and goof off a little. And, it was amazing. It's now featured at David Chang's Momofuku Milk Bar restaurant.
Christina said in a New York Magazine interview: "It was so good that it got to the point that I had to put it on someone else’s station because I couldn’t have it near me. It’s brown sugar, regular sugar, butter, cream, salt, and a little corn flour to hold it together." Mmm.
She's also the creator of wacky desserts like the Compost Cookie, which includes "potato chips, pretzels, coffee grounds, chocolate chips, graham crumbs, butterscotch chips, and a little bit of flour," she said. Delicious!
She's got it bad when it comes to sweets, and we can't blame her! "I’ve always had a sweet tooth. It’s actually a very nasty habit. I rarely eat regular food," she said - New York Magazine & Zimbio
