Item Description
Let this gold painted Medicine Buddha grace your shrine or home.
Tibetan Spirit owner Julie Blair has spent time in various Himalayan Buddhist settings and been struck by the warmth, generosity and beauty inherent in situations that might at first appear impoverished. She has seen and appreciated the depth of Buddhist societies as expressed in their dedication to art and technique in the creating of statutes, thangkas, rugs, singing bowls and other items of daily and ritual use. Now more than ever the political and economic situation in Nepal and Tibet demands attention and Tibetan Spirit is committed to supporting the artisans who create traditional works without interruption.
A portion of Tibetan Spirit's profits goes toward supporting Tibetan Buddhist ordained nuns and monks in India and Tibet, as well as selected dharma centers here in the United States. In addition, they support organizations dedicated to the preservation of Tibetan culture and the well-being of the Tibetan people both in Tibet and abroad.
