Sunday, July 10 – Friday, July 15, 2011
The Green Mountain Suzuki Institute, located in Rochester, Vermont, is week-long day camp for 120 violin, viola, cello, flute, and piano students ages 4-18. Our enthusiastic professional staff is committed to creating an inspiring week of music and fun for your family, providing motivation and reinforcement for home study. NOTE: you do not need to be a Suzuki student to attend the institute.
Each student at the institute has a master class and a group lesson every day. Students also choose three enrichment classes which can include art, string orchestra, composition, theater games, drumming, eurhythmics, yoga, jazz piano, piano duets, and chamber ensemble.
Item Special Note
Our chamber music elective gives young students the opportunity to experience the joy of playing excellent repertoire with friends. Students are assigned to chamber groups, rehearse with piano, string and/or flute coaches every day, and perform at the end of the week.
Our families often tell us that their week with us is “the best family vacation” they have ever had!
