Item Description
Beautiful photo book by Italian art photographer Gerardo Leccese.
(softcover edition - also available in hardcover)
"The famous Venezia Carnevale began in the 15th century. Every February, thousands of people travel the world to dress up with masks and extravagant costumes to indulge in a series of events and to compete in masked balls. My book is a labor of love for this beautiful city, a place that has survived wars, water, and time and continues to offer the millions of visitors that come here every year, the same magic it has offered for thousands of years. Venice is a living museum with incomparable beauty and mystery."
Gerardo Leccese was born and raised in Rapone, Italy, and immigrated to New York city when he was 17. He studied art at the Istituto d'Arte in Italy, F.I.T. in New York City, and The Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore. He lives in Charleston, South Carolina and travels widely as a photographer and artist. Winner of several awards, his work has been shown in many art shows.
