Item Description
The Shambhala Sun Foundation is including this print in the auction owing to the tremendous popularity of all of Thich Nhat Hanh calligraphies whether in original or print form, in the auction or the gallery. It is an opportunity for everyone to possess a reminder and be inspired by him.
Beloved teacher Thich Nhat Hanh executed the original of this print, one of six, as a gift for the Shambhala Sun when he was interviewed by editor Melvin McLeod at Deer Park Monastery near San Diego in 2005. The calligraphies accompanied the article, "This is the Buddha's Love," in the March 2006 Shambhala Sun. Thay, as Thich Nhat Hanh is lovingly called by his students, has been an ardent friend and supporter of the Shambhala Sun, and granted his permission for us to reproduce these works for our benefit.
The "I have arrived I am home" print measures 17"x 22". It is an archival-quality, fine art giclée reproduction.
Thich Nhat Hanh is a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, poet, scholar, and peace activist. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1967 by Martin Luther King Jr. for his efforts in generating peace and reconciliation in his native country. Thich Nhat Hanh travels internationally, teaching from his book The Art of Mindful Living.
