Item Description
In days gone by this unusual square -to-round, lidded basket seems to have been used for gathering feathers, The top, which cannot be removed, could be raised and lowered quickly to keep feathers from blowing away- or even a chicken dinner from escaping. Dimension approximately 12x12x18 inches.
This gorgeous handcrafted feather basket will find the perfect spot in your home either displayed prominently or holding precious cargo. Created by Mary V. Bozarth-Carty and signed as #1 of a new pattern series.
Item Special Note
Mary and her husband Rich are the proud owners of Pinelands Folk Music Center. Mary and Rich teach the Mt. Dulcimer and Mary teaches basketry at the center. The Mount Holly shop is filled with beautiful music and handcrafted items, and the scent of handmade candles fills the air!
