Item Description
This beautiful pottery from San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua, was hand-thrown, etched, colored with mineral oxides, and fired in a brick kiln at a low temperature. The vase stands about 13" high, with a 3-1/2" diameter at its mouth and a 9" diameter at its largest point. Three parrots are etched in relief, alternating with three trees, to encircle the vase. The vase is ideal for dried flower arrangements or as a stand-along piece of art, but is not suitable for holding water or food.
