Item Description
Four tickets to your choice of two wonderful performances at the Hopkins Center for the Arts. Attend either Dick Hyman plays The Great American Songbook, Saturday, April 2, 2011 or for something completely different, Cantus, April 16, 2011.
Throughout a busy musical career that got underway in the early '50s, Dick Hyman has functioned as pianist, organist, arranger, music director, and composer. His versatility in all of these areas has resulted in film scores, orchestral compositions, concert appearances and well over 100 albums recorded under his own name.
Cantus explores sacred music as a global and American tradition, including music by Thomas Tallis and Bobby McFerrin, as well as traditional African-American spirituals.
Concerts start at 7:30 pm.
