Item Description
Ascending the Giants invites you to an intimate encounter with some BIG trees, located in the Ancient Grove of Douglas Firs in Portland, OR’s 150-acre Audubon Sanctuary. Spend the night in the trees and your days communing with the neighbors, which include Steller’s Jays, Chestnut-backed Chickadees, Varied Thrush, Pacific Giant Salamanders, Douglas Squirrels, Roughskin Newts, Red-legged Frogs and Western Painted Turtles, to name a few.
Package includes:
- Two-day climb for two people
- Overnight stay in the trees
- Meals
- Wildlife training and ecology interpretation with Audubon Society naturalists
- Use of climbing gear if needed
- Photo journal of the climb
Item Special Note
Climb is tentatively scheduled for August 16 - 17, 2012 immediately following the 2012 ISA International Conference and Trade Show. Actual date to be mutually agreed upon by the bidder and the donor.
Air/Ground transportation not included.
