Item Description
Attention: Tree climbing enthusiasts and art collectors!
Split Tail 1, 2 and 3
Somewhere around 1994, DdRT tree climbers began experimenting with the “split tail” concept of separating a section of rope for friction management. This highly popular technique is now the staple of tree climbing.
SherrillTree illustrated the new technique with three consecutive drawings within their catalog. The three original pen and ink drawings used in catalogs from that era are up for auction as a 3-drawing collection. These rare examples of modern tree care culture have brought upwards of $1,500 dollars apiece to support the TREE Fund.
Item Special Note
Finished size: Each piece is 10" by 15" matted with a black frame and TruGuard UV-protection glass.
These original pen & ink pieces were created by Tobe Sherrill and drawn by Bryan Kotwica. Certificate of authenticity included.
