About the Artist:
I have been painting with water media and pastel since I graduated from college, and I have been working with Stained Glass for about five years. Most of my glass pieces are individually designed and no two pieces are exactly alike. I often use similar elements, but the colors, textures, types of glass, and size vary from piece to piece. I use compatable objects such as agates, antique glass pieces, glass stones and incorporate them into my panels and boxes.
My paintings are usually landscapes or abstracts based on photos I have taken andI use the same photos for my glass panels and boxes.
I am a graduate of the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and a member of the Newton Art Association. My work has been shown at the Depot Square Gallery in Lexington as a guest artist, and at the Brookline Art Center Craft show. I exhibit with the Charlestown Artist Group, and at the Brookline Arts Council at Lars Anderson Park in the fall.
