Surly: The anger fueled by the inability to find good beer. Or at least that's how Surly Brewing Company defines it. Here's a case of Surly Beer Mixed Brews from the 5-year-old Brooklyn Park brewing company, Minnesota's first new brewery west of the Mississippi since 1987.
If you haven't tried Surly's full-bodied flavor, you're in for a treat. They call themselves the Surly Nation; people who have this much fun making beer must be doing something right!
Surly's mission, aside from brewing great beer, is to 'tap' the passion and good will shared amongst Surly Nation to give back and to support the community. Surly follows through with this mission in two ways; first with donations of Surly beer and gear to local businesses and charitable organizations in need. Secondly, they provide ongoing opportunities for volunteers to participate in Service Projects throughout the year. Some recent volunteer activities include a Bloodmobile held at the brewery, staffing the a night of the Holidazzle, and stuffing registration packets for the Loppet.
Surly offers free tours of their brewery, and even holds an annual photo contest so they can see where your Surly has been. Check out this fun local business!
