Item Description
"Early On" - created by Concord artist Holly Larner.
This work received an award at the Members Painting/Sculpture exhibit at the Concord Art Association in January. Juror Nina Gara Bozicnik, Assistant Curator at the Currier Museum of Art noted: “The juxtaposition of the ominous, saturated black pigment and the open, white forms creates visual and emotional tension. The play between the dark and light hues is never resolved, and a back and forth, pull and push friction permeates the composition — reminiscent of life itself.”
