Stag's Leap Napa Valley 1998 Petite Syrah: Vintage 1998 was a long, cool growing season. Leading into the mouth, round fruit, berry, cherry and candied bergamot aromas mix with sweet vanilla and brown spices from 20 months aging in French and American oak barrels. A bold concentration of fruit in the center of the palate is surrounded by berry, Grenadine cherry and black raspberry flavors. This finish is long and substantial.

Beringer Napa Valley 2006 Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon: Winemaker Laurie Hook chooses from seven reserve vineyards to craft this wine that showcases the best of each vineyard's terroir. Bancroft Ranch is a major component of the final blend. The density of flavors and structure lent by this Howell Mountain vineyard has been an intergral part of Beringer's Reserve prrogram since 1986. Beringer's famed St. Helena Home vineyard delivers the fleshy, black fruit mid-palate. The final blend has aromas of currant, nutmeg and a hint of licorice. Flavors of cassis, raspberry and cocoa are surrounded by refined tannins and a remarkably elegant, supple finish.

Etude 2006 Pinot Noir Carneros - Estate: The Etude Carneros Pinot Noir hails from a vineyard tucked away in the far northwest corner of the Carneros Appellation. This 2006 offering invites cool aromatics of raspberry, pomegranate and sandalwood with a touch of turned earth. Classically structured, the palate bursts with flavors of sweet frambois strawberries, red cherries and mocha. The lush fruit combined with the baking spice notes from aging in French oak creates a designed Pinot Noir with elegance and length.

St. Clement Vineyards Oroppas 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley: The Oroppas opens with enticing aromas of blueberry jam, red cherry, raspberry, milk chocolate, clove and brown sugar. Black cherry, raspberry jam, caramel, and dark chocolate flavors greet the palate, and the rich fruit flavors are supported by structured, yet velvety tannins. Black pepper, candied apple and dark chocolate linger on the palate for a long complex finish.
