Item Description
Seven varieties of Heirloom Seeds from the kitchen garden at Thoreau Farm, the Henry David Thoreau birthplace.
Heirloom, open-pollinated seeds are the human species’ inheritance from 10,000 years of agriculture. These are all open-pollinated varieties, and since saved properly, their seeds will breed true. We saved these by hand from the kitchen garden beside the Thoreau birth house, using the same methods pre-historic humans employed. Enjoy growing them in your own garden knowing that other seeds harvested at the same time will be again raised in 2011 at Thoreau Farm.
Item Special Note
Seeds include: Christmas Lima Pole Bean, Gloriosa Daisy, “Harlequin” Marigold, Resina Calendula, Aunt Ruby’s German Green Tomato, Riesentraube Tomato, and “Tall Telephone” Pea.
