Item Description
Every year, there are three Sunday Symphonies scheduled at the Palace Theatre in Albany. This offering is for four (4) tickets to ASO's performance of From Russia with Music on November 11, 2011 at 3 pm.
Embark on thrilling adventures with Maestro Miller and his alter-egos as he and the Albany Symphony Orchestra introduce young audiences to the wonderful world of great symphonic music. These award winning hour-long young people’s concerts are presented in Albany’s beautiful Palace Theatre.
“Sunday Symphonies” are energetic, hour-long concerts featuring Maestro David Alan Miller in costume, portraying figures from music history and his own imagination. Engaging and entertaining, Sunday Symphonies are wonderfully effective tools for bringing families together and building classical music audiences for the future. Each concert attracts approximately over 1,200 people.
Community response to the “Sunday Symphonies” series has been overwhelmingly positive. Miller and his “band” have received rave reviews for programs like “Beethoven Back to the Future,” “From Russia with Music” and the wildly popular “Cowboy Dave’s Excellent American Adventure.”
