Warrick attended Florida State University. He holds several FSU records and is the only Seminole to rush for over 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons. He was a three time All-ACC selection and won a National Championship in 1993. Dunn's jersey has been retired by the university.
Dunn was selected in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft with the 12th overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dunn was named AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 1997, and he was named to the Pro Bowl in both 1997 and 2000.
From 2002 to 2007, Dunn played for the Atlanta Falcons, where he was named to the Pro Bowl in 2005 for the third time in his career. Dunn returned to the Buccaneers in 2008. After retiring in 2009, Dunn took a stake in the Falcons' ownership group led by Arthur Blank.
Dunn is heavily involved in philanthropic work through the Warrick Dunn Foundation, Homes for the Holidays and Athletes for Hope.
