Additional Information: Floyd’s Pelican Bar is one of the most unusual bars and restaurants in the world.  It’s located off the South Coast of Jamaica, about 20-minutes away from Treasure Beach—and is only accessible by boat, adding a unique charm and mystique.  Floyd lovingly prepares extremely fresh-caught fish meals in his small but efficient “kitchen.”   This piece of art actually portrays the accompanying structure where Floyd used to store his supplies; unfortunately, it was decimated by Hurricane Dean in 2007—making this image even more special.  This very limited-edition giclee includes some of the numerous pelicans that frequent the area.  Its serene colors can make your cares float away.  The white wood frame sets off the image perfectly.

About the Artist: Nancy Rupertus of Cambridge, Maryland, is an award-winning fine artist and graphic designer who has spent much of her life creating art—ranging from decorative art to brochures to artistic home renovations.  She works in numerous mediums including acrylics, oils, and photography.  She is drawn to the water—and feels both inspired and calmed by it; in addition, she enjoys portraying landscapes, architectural details, and still lifes.
