The August race weekend at MIS kicks off with Meijer Pole Day, featuring NASCAR’s top drivers qualifying and practicing for Sunday’s Sprint Cup Series race. In 2010, Kasey Kahne earned his second career pole at MIS with a blistering lap of 187.183 mph. Friday activities at MIS have never been better guaranteeing you a day of fun and excitement. The New Holland Fan Plaza features a variety of things to do for adults and children.
VFW 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will be making its first appearance at MIS in August with the running of the VFW 200. The Camping World Truck Series puts on some of the best racing MIS has to offer every year with many races featuring some of the closest finishes in track history. Aric Almirola won the 2010 NCWTS race, giving MIS its ninth different winner since 2002.
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 400

The 2011 racing season concludes with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 400. The Sprint Cup Series stars always end the MIS season with an exciting finale, featuring many lead changes and exciting finishes. In 2010, Kevin Harvick won his first Sprint Cup Series race at MIS and also gave owner Richard Childress his first MIS Cup victory since Dale Earnhardt Sr. won in the Irish Hills 20 years before in 1990. MIS is the perfect way to end your summer race season.
