MUSIC TO MY EARS
Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky walk into a bar… Maybe that isn’t the beginning of a great joke, but it is the beginning of a great orchestral season. The New York Philharmonic presents the work of these and other monumental composers in over 180 concerts per season. “Philharmonic” comes from the Greek word meaning music lover and the New York Phil has been an aphrodisiac since its inception in 1842. Performing at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, the Philharmonic has something for everyone to fall in love with, from world premieres to familiar classics. Enjoy a night of aural delight with two orchestra tickets to a concert in the 2010-2011 season.
