Charles Movalli (1945- ) is a leading plein-air painter, instructor, and writer, and has won numerous awards and honors for his work. He is listed in Who’s Who in American Art and is a member of the North Shore Arts Association; Rockport Art Association; Guild of Boston Artists; Hudson Valley Art Association; Academic Artists; Knickerbocker Artists; Oil Painters of America (Signature Member); and the New England Watercolor Society. He is a Contributing Editor to American Artist Magazine and has written and edited instructional books published by Watson-Guptill. A lifetime Gloucester resident, Movalli holds a Ph.D in English from the University of Connecticut.
