Item Description

Sivler-framed 8" X 10" acrylic painting of downtown Gloucester neighborhood.

Joy Dai Buell's work is showcased in the window of Empire on Main Street in Gloucester until June 2nd.

Item Special Note

Joy Dai Buell attended The School of The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, then taught art at L'ecole d'Humanite in Switzerland. Returning to Boston she began teaching at Garland Jr College, Mass Art, Montserrat College of Art, and most recently the DeCordova Museum School.
Tufts also hires her to supervise/mentor student teachers from the Museum School participating in the Tufts graduate program. She works with adults, teaching drawing and acrylic painting of all levels. Pleinair classes are held Saturdays during June and July around Cape Ann.
Two weeks in August every year she takes a group to France to draw and paint in the Tarn countryside, then travels with a class to Costa Rica in late December.
