Item Description
Watch and listen to four talks and guided practices given by Pema Chödrön at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY, May 20-23, 2011.
Practicing the four limitless qualities – love, compassion, joy, and equanimity – is inspired by connecting with those who have inspired us with their love and caring. This practice also includes working with the obstacles to the four limitless qualities – closed-downness, fear, a sense of lack or jealousy, and prejudice or bias. These obstacles are used as stepping stones to discovering the four limitless qualities, which are their opposites.
This seminar includes four talks by Pema Chödrön -- including guided meditation sessions and other contemplations and exercises led by her -- along with additional meditation sessions assistant teacher Tim Olmsted.
Pema Chödrön is an American Buddhist nun whose root teacher was the renowned meditation master Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. Her many popular books include The Places that Scare You, When Things Fall Apart, and Start Where You Are.
Great Path Tapes and Books is a direct source for obtaining Pema Chödrön's recorded teachings. Great Path also sells books and DVDs by Pema Chödrön, Sakyong Mipham, and other teachers.
