Artists’ Statement
My life has been colored by dyes and fueled by the urge to create things.
I’m Lisa, an artisan living in Rhode Island, I have explored many art forms, but the unpredictable beauty of dyed textiles is the one that I continue to return to. I am fascinated by the potential of hand dyed fibers. I work with many techniques especially tie dye and Shibori. One of my foremost goals as an artist is to unite the unusual qualities of dye work with the elegance of good design.
If you are interested in this process you can check out my blog where I discuss technique process and the journey to become an artist
