The Barre Center for Buddhist Studies, located in Barre, Massachusetts, is an educational non-profit that brings together teachers, students, scholars, and practitioners committed to exploring Buddhist thought and practice as a living tradition. The center's purpose is to encourage the integration of study and practice in a spirit of genuine inquiry.
In addition to the one-day workshops the center offers a variety of opportunities for research and study including courses ranging from weekends to nine days. The BCBS program is rooted in the classical tradition of the earliest teachings and practices but its mission calls for the exploration of all schools of Buddhism and for dialogue with other religious and scientific traditions.
