Item Description
Spend a weekend in the California Redwoods at the Vajrapani Institute for a group retreat on Deconstructing Our Emotions and Taking Control of Our Life with Venerable Robina Courtin, February 10 to 12, 2012.
Our states of mind, habitual thoughts and emotions play an important role in shaping our experiences of happiness and suffering in everyday life. This retreat will look at the approach taken by Tibetan Buddhism to work with these emotions so that we can learn how to harness and transform them, thus becoming effortlessly in charge of our own mind and life.
For over 30 years, Vajrapani has been providing a quiet and sacred place for practitioners of all traditions to improve their hearts and minds. The center offers secluded private cabins, group programs with internationally renowned Buddhist teachers, and facility rental arrangements with other local spiritual groups.
Vajrapani Institute is a Tibetan Buddhist meditation retreat center located in the beautiful redwood forest of the Santa Cruz Mountains in northern California. It was built by the disciples of the late Lama Thubten Yeshe on 75 acres at the ford of two creeks, amidst tall trees and local wildlife and has been visited by generations of spiritual practitioners including such holy beings as His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
