Item Description
This very handsome St. Croix SCII/IX Chocolate brown, 8’, 5wt, 4-piece rod was made as part of a rod-builder initiative project in support of Casting for Recovery.
This rod has an upgraded reel seat with a beautiful burl wood insert and high quality cork grip. The ends of the grip are composite reinforced for increased strength and durability. The workmanship on this rod is superb and the finish flawless.
K-Kustom is Alaska's respected rod builder. One of Alaska's CFR volunteers likened first holding this rod to holding a golden feather. Ken Killian assures us that it is a feather which has the strength of a long life and plenty of positive wishes in its making. The rod possesses a perfect balance of beauty, strength, and durability.
Item Special Note
Comes with sock. Actual USPS shipping and handling costs from Alaska not included in bid but to be calculated after sale based on destination.
St. Croix describes their SCII blank as a premium, mid-modulus graphite fiber with a higher strain rate than fibers commonly used by other rod manufacturers. This is our most popular material that produces rods that are highly sensitive, lightweight and durable. It's an outstanding choice for anglers who appreciate high performance without high cost. Featured in Premier,® Wild River,® Mojo Bass, Mojo Musky, Eyecon®, Panfish Series, Triumph,® Tidemaster,® Mojo Inshore, Mojo Surf, Premier® Surf, Triumph® Surf / Saltwater, Imperial™ and Rio Santo rods.
