The image was taken in the holy city of Kanyakumari, at the southernmost tip of India. Nearby is the beach where Gandhi’s ashes were cast into the water, where the Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal, and the Arabian Sea meet.
The artist has won various photography contests including Northeastern University Study Abroad Photography Contest - Winner of Spring 2009 and CIEE Spring & Summer 2009 Artistic Photo Contest - honorable mention.
Her work is currently featured in Sharon Arts Gallery in Peterborough, NH.
