Enjoy great wine and a sunset at Driftwood's Winery.
Driftwood Estate Winery is owned and operated by Gary Elliott. The vineyard, planted in 1998, is 20 acres with 14 acres currently in production with 7 grape varieties. We received our winery license in July of 2002 and did our first commercial grape crush with the August 2002 harvest. Our first commercial wine was bottled in February 2003 and we opened the winery to the public on March 1, 2003. Our first year production totaled about 1,200 cases, which included 5 different wines. We now produce over 4,500 cases. HOURS: We are open every day at the winery for tasting and wine sales. (Except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.) Visit our tasting room from 10:00am until 6:00pm every day of the week. We have a $5. wine tasting fee. Active duty military receive a free tasting and 10% discount on all wine purchases. We may not be able to accommodate groups of 10 or more without an advanced booking. For information about private group tasting click here: groups A complete list and description of our wines can be found on the wine store page. For a list of stores that carry them and restaurants that serve them go to the retail outlets page. In addition to our wines we are also tasting and selling two premium wines from our sister winery in Paso Robles. Come by and enjoy the view from our 1,100 square foot deck overhanging the bluff, our picnic area under the oak trees or our new Pavillion next to the tasting room. They all have a beautiful view of the hill country and vineyard below. Our outdoor facilities are for the use of winery customers only and no alcoholic beverages can be brought onto the winery premises. Enjoy one of our snack trays of cheese and crackers or bring your own lunch. Salt Lick is only a few minutes away and has great barbecue to go. |
