Item Description

ONe-hour voice lesson with Nils Neubert. He made his debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall as a First Prize Winner of the 2010 Barry Alexander International Vocal Competition, and was a winner in the 2009 Friday Woodmere Young Artist Competition. He was also a grant recipient in the 2010 Gerda Lissner International Vocal Competition and has been a finalist in the Liederkranz Foundation Vocal Competition and the Oratorio Society of New York’s Lyndon Woodside Solo Competition.

He has performed with the Opera Company of Brooklyn, Pocket Opera New York, New York Lyric Opera Theatre, Liederkranz Opera Theatre, Amore Opera, the New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera, Underworld Productions Opera Ensemble, and Encompass New Opera Theater, where he was a principal at the New American Opera Previews under the auspices of Opera Index in 2009.

As a concert soloist, recitalist and chamber musician, Nils Neubert has performed at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium, Zankel Hall, and Weill Recital Hall, Steinway Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall and Ann Goodman Recital Hall at Kaufman Center, Yamaha Hall, Boston's Jordan Hall, Sanders Theatre at Harvard University, the Bergen Performing Arts Center, the Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace Museum, the United Jewish Appeal Headquarters of New York, as well as in Germany, Austria, Italy, and Spain.

 

 

Item Special Note

Nils Neubert holds a Master of Arts from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Music from the Juilliard School, where he was a recipient of the Rïse Stevens Foundation Award and the Lucrezia Bori Grant. He is also a graduate of the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Massachusetts. Summer studies have included the International Summer Academy at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Festival De Musica Clasica in Puigcerda, Spain, and language studies at the Scuola Leonardo Da Vinci in Florence, Italy.

Nils Neubert serves on the voice faculties of William Paterson University and the Music Conservatory of Westchester. He also teaches at the International Academy of Music in Italy and the Summit Music Festival, and has taught at the Burgos International Music Festival in Spain. Born and raised in Hamburg, Germany, Mr. Neubert resides in New York City where he studies with Dr. Robert C. White, Jr., and performs frequently together with his wife, pianist Yuri Kim.
