Item Description
This Portland cityscape collage was created by the students in Village Home’s Art and Design Lab, taught by artist Robin Olsen. Each student worked on a 4"x 5" rectangle and was asked to interpret, rather than copy, their part of an original photograph using magazine pages for color, texture, and pattern. A true collaborative effort, the finished piece magically appeared when all parts were joined together. Of the work, Robin says, “I am thrilled that each student's own unique style is apparent on close inspection, yet the parts all work together to create a magnificent whole.”
The piece is matted and framed.
Collage dimensions: 16” x 20”
