Item Description
Inquiring minds want to know: is this the rhubarb that helped make Henry Thoreau's tongue so tart?
This is certainly an old-fashioned variety with absolutely enormous leaves (our visitors gawk at them!), robust growth (we got 5 crops from one 2nd year transplant last spring and summer!), and a red-tinged stem. The winner will receive one healthy bare-rooted plant in the spring. A copy of the recipe for the nearly-famous (and totally delicious) Thoreau Farm Rhubarb Shrub will also be included, which is considered our "house drink."
