Item Description
In 2004 Steve Edington (President of Lowell Celebrates Kerouac) travelled to California and visited with Al Hinkle in San Jose for a series of interviews. Out of these interviews came two terrific articles - Last Man Standing and Neal and Ike: A Meeting of the Icons.
There is a tird part to this great little book full of tremndous insight: My Freind, Allen Ginsberg.
The title comes from the fact Al Hinkle is the only man who was actually in the '49 Hudson when it made that historic run detailed in Kerouac's On The Road who is still alive.
