Wall of Heroes
Item Description
George Ambariantz, an officer for the Denver Sheriff’s Department who graduated from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design with a B.A. in painting and drawing, created this mask for the Denver Sheriff’s Department. He incorporated the seal of the City & County of Denver along with the American eagle. “I felt that the bird was symbolic of the human spirit – the key symbol of ‘unlocking’ knowledge.” He also painted the mountains to contrast the cityscape.
