Item Description
This spring, pack your culture calendar with a handful of stellar nights out in our nation’s capitol. Who needs politics? Stay in the luxurious W Washington DC (a Starwood hotel) for two nights and see plays by two of American theatre’s most electrifying new writers.
Catch Anne Washburn’s Mr. Burns, a mind-bending play about surviving the Apocalypse (Hint: You may want to brush up on your knowledge of The Simpsons) at Woolly Mammoth. And see Leslye Headland’s Bachelorette, a scathing comedy of bad manners, about a pre-wedding party turned vicious at Studio Theatre. Start one of your nights of theater with dinner for two at Oyamel Cocina Mexicana, named Washington, D.C.’s best Latin-American restaurant by the Washingtonian in December 2011. Spend your day with three friends at the National Museum of Women in the Arts answering the “simple, obvious but rarely asked question: Where are all the women artists?”
