Item Description
This auction item is a "Picturing My Feelings" Workshop. Parents can select a small group of up to 5 children to come into the friendly and warm art therapy offices of Parent to Child to explore feelings in a fun way. The workshop can be tailored to any age group and will last approximately an hour and 15 minutes.
During the workshop, kids will explore the 4 basic feelings: Happy, Sad, Mad and Scared through art making and learn how to cope with the difficult ones by developing relaxation skills. Kids will make a book of their own art that show the basic feelings and then develop a tool kit to take along as a reminder of how they can help themselves when feeling the stress of unpleasant feelings!
Kathryn Snyder of Parent to Child is a board-certified art therapist in private practice in Center City. She has been working with children and families for over 12 years.
