CAMP:
Located east of Payson, along the banks of Christopher Creek, Camp Theodore Roosevelt / R-C Scout Ranch occupies 75 acres of tall, cool ponderosa pines. It offers one of the greatest outdoor experiences you will have an opportunity to participate in.
The camp has 10 fully developed campsites with tents, a BB gun range and archery range. There is a full featured dining hall, plus a lodge that can accommodate up to 30 people and six cabins that can accommodate sixteen people each. A central shower and restroom facility is located near the cabins.
Camp Theodore Roosevelt/R-C Scout Ranch is the home of the Grand Canyon Council's Cub Scout resident camp. Each June, hundreds of Cub Scouts - Tigers through Webelos, head to camp with their parents for an exciting introduction to camping in tall pine country.
VAN NESS LODGE
Van Ness Lodge was built in 1946 and is one of the camp's original buildings. The Lodge has been recently completely remodeled with a new kitchen and bathrooms. It has bunks for about 44 and is heated. Gathering around the stone fireplace on a winter evening is an experience for the whole crew.
