Item Description

Korbel Champagne Cellars "Behind-the-Scenes VIP Tour " with Lunch & Wine for 4 persons - Plus a Mixed Case of Wine to Take Home! In the mid-1800s, America offered new hope to three brothers seeking to escape political unrest in their European homeland. Emigrating from Czechoslovakia to the United States, brothers Francis, Anton and Joseph Korbel found success in exchange for their hard work and innovation.  F. Korbel & Bros. began as a manufacturing business in San Francisco that produced materials for the building industry. As their enterprise expanded, the brothers eventually acquired a sawmill and began a full-scale lumber operation near the town of Guerneville in Sonoma County. All KORBEL champagnes are made according to the traditional méthode champenoise technique, where the champagne is fermented inside the same bottle from which it is served. This time-honored process takes almost a year to complete. But the results are worth the wait. The taste of theméthode champenoise style is famous for its delicate nuances along with producing the countless streams of dazzling bubbles in every glass of KORBEL California Champagne. The winning bidder and three guests will receive a "Behind-the-Scenes VIP tour" of the historic Korbel Champagne Cellars , a special tasting of America's number one premium methode champenoise California champagnes, a gourmet boxed lunch for four, and a bottle of Korbel Brut or Chardonnay Champagne.  Also included is a mixed case to take home.
