Susan Kelly von Medicus, daughter of Princess Grace of Monaco’s brother John B. Kelly, Jr., recounted how she came upon owning these custom-made items belonging to Princess Grace.
“Upon the tragic passing of the beloved Princess, the Princely Palace sent the ladies of the Kelly family a very special trunk. Inside was a treasure-trove of clothing which belonged to the late princess. Each family member was allowed to choose what they wished from the trunk, which was sent to the care of Peggy, Grace's oldest sister. We all met and chose some items at Peggy’s daughter’s home in suburban Philadelphia. If only I still had the trunk from my mother's attic which held Grace's fancy dresses and which I admit to playing dress up in with my sisters.”
