Item Description

This 15 x 11 inch Czech porcelain platter was fired in the U.K. and is dishwasher, microwave, oven and freezer safe. The beautiful artwork by Richard Bramble accompanies text on the platter which reads: "'Salvelinus fontinalis' Brook trout also known as speckled trout are from the 'char' family, the Latin name derives from 'fountain.' Native to the cold waters of eastern North America they have a square tail fin, slow growth rate and spawn in autumn daylight."

Item Special Note

From a cabin nestled in amongst cypress trees and a timeless pond, a family dreamed up the idea to capture America's most pristine treasures through art and porcelains.  Hence, Red Cabin was born.  Our ceramics are manufactured by Jersey Pottery on the small Island of Jersey off the coast of France using the finest Czech porcelains.  By traveling from the rugged outback of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in California to the sea side villages of Massachusetts, Mr. Bramble observed the species painted in their natural environment, enabling him to capture the unique beauty only seen by personal encounters.
