Item Description
The drawing and painting work on Kyle's violin was created with graphite, India ink, gesso, and marble dust for a soft, fresco-like appearance. The combination renders the sensitive construction of stairs rising and falling from the violin’s surface, under a mathematical rhythm not far removed from the violin’s musical potential.
