Item Description
Enjoy a full twenty four hours at Silverwood Ranch in Cloverdale, owned by Brandeis Marin Parents Jackie and Barry Hoffner.
Barry and Jackie Hoffner wove together the 1,200 acre Silverwood Ranch over a period of about 5 years beginning in 2003 with a commitment to good land stewardship and use of best practices in sustainable farming for the developed acres of the Ranch. 43 acres are planted to grapes; the remaining acres contain a vast array of natural and biological diversity – madrone and manzanita forests, rolling hills, springs and ponds, and elevation changes from 1,800' – 3,000', culminating at the peak of Pine Mountain. The Ranch supports wildlife corridors for foxes, wild pigs, turkey, deer, mountain lion, bob cats, and bears and has received the Fish Friendly Farming accreditation by the California Land Stewardship Institute.
Your stay at the Ranch begins at noon with a picnic lunch, wine and an exclusive tour. On your tour, you will see rolling vineyards, adorable barnyard animals and a stunning pond. After your tour and settling in for the night, you can relax, hike, swim or kayak in the pond while your delectable dinner is being prepared. The culinary skills of Jackie Hoffner and Yael Putterman will be on display as they prepare for you a most memorable dinner complete with wine pairings. Your hosts will leave you at this time as you drift off to sleep with the memories of a beautiful, peaceful landscape, delicious wine, and incomparable food. Feel free to stay at the ranch and enjoy its many delights until the early afternoon the next day. This magical wine country experience is offered for a maximum of 8 people; two bedrooms for couples and a third bedroom with bunkbeds and optional air mattresses.
